I am sitting on Amanda’s recliner in the Edgerton’s living room. It’s 10:53 AM, and I just finished a workout. It’s just Kody and me, but Lance is outside mowing and trimming their lawn. The Edgertons are up at Vallecito. Belinda just left to go have lunch with Kelly, and I will meet her afterwards to look at different paint color possibilities for the kitchen.
I am marketing Time to Teach consistently, and I just reached out to Phyllis (last name), former principal at McCoy. They are looking at Title funds to pay for my training, so I reached out to Aaron to help answer her questions. We will see what comes from all of this.
We are spending our mornings and afternoons here, because they are still working on our walls by texturing and painting them at our home. They are making their way into the living room, and then they will head to the kitchen and laundry room. It’s looking fantastic, and I am so pleased with how it is turning out.
I have cooled off enough to go take a shower, so I will be right back.

Okay, I did not just take a four day shower, but I did get distracted and not get back to writing on that day. Typical.
I am back at the Edgerton’s, though, and it’s a Monday morning. I just worked on e-mails for...
Time to Teach again for Aztec. I really hope it works out. It’s a lazy summer, but it doesn’t feel like it. We have done so much already, and we have many things going on all at once. I joked with Belinda that this summer feels like going to work.
First, the retexturing and painting job continues at our house this morning. They are working on finishing up the living room and then they will move into the kitchen and the laundry room after that. That will complete the project. We are upgrading other things while that is going on, of course, because now is the best time to do that. For example, we are putting in a new Ring doorbell and camera. Our old doorbell had become so yellow and faded in our living room, and a new camera will help us see who is coming for the first time ever. New thermostats will be installed, too. Our house will feel very different and modern after this is all done. I just spoke to them about filling in every cable box and phone jack. They will remove them, and then texture and paint those areas until they are no longer visible. We will never need them again in this wireless world. We only kept the one phone jack in the living room for our modem.
A and B are up at the cabin for their ladies’ cabin trip. B just sent a picture of our Alto in the shade at its usual spot. We will keep it there until after the big 4th of July celebration. Eric is going to Albuquerque to help out Matt and Becca with baby Ben. We just came back from there after being invited for Father's Day.
That was fun! I was blessed to be able to spend Father’s Day with my two children. Is there a better way to spend Father's Day? I played volleyball with them and a few of their friends (okay, mostly James’s friends) at the park near James and Casey’s house yesterday. I am a bit sore, but it was all worth it. Then we ate hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats at their house afterwards, and I was able to watch a bit of the U.S. Open with Troy while we were there.
Rowan is doing great, too. He is ten weeks old today. He gave us some smiles, and we were able to give him kisses for the first time now that Casey allows it. It still feels wonderful and surreal to hold my son’s son.
Danielle is working hard to prepare for her final tests to close out her probationary year. I heard that only 50% of people pass, so I hope she gets it done the first time. She won’t be finished by the 4th of July, so that is a bit of a bummer. It would be great if she could be done by then, but that won’t work out. Maybe she can have a small break before she takes the tests on the 7th. It’s possible she won’t come, but I am sure everyone would understand if she didn’t.
On to golf next time…
